Plate questions on which one to mod?
OK I have a 2012 stock vxr plate and a 2009 stock FZR plate. Questions are If the FZR plate is modded is it as good or because of its deeper angle down is it worse. Has anyone modded an FZ plate for a VX series. Better rough water handling? Could the top mounts be sanded at an angle to help the angle so the inverted skegs could be deeper since the metal is thicker? Just trying to find out what both offer with different setups?

Ever notice how much the OEM 2014 SVHO and
Farthing FZ plates resemble the OEM VXR/S plate
geometrically? (EXCEPT FOR the extension on the
the Farthing and SVHO plates of course)

So you don't think it will gain much of anything?

I want to do something like this on the FZR plate but maybe deeper on the skegs.

The FZ plate will kill Top speed of the VXR, I woulden't mod that one....... Why do people remove the FZ plate and put on a VX plate? cause its faster
