How do we keep the nose bumper on 2004 RXP?

Bought the ski June of last year and within the first month one end of the bumper came loose and I figured out that the previous owner had damaged the nose slightly and rigger the bumper.

Shortly my 18 year old was riding and the bumper came off completely. With it off it was apparent that some glass was missing from a couple of the mounting areas, the outer layer/top of the boat was broken away.

Got a replacement from the local dealer and trying to be smart I thru bolted it rather than the OEM screws since all the holes were somewhat eaten up and 2 of them were only the inner layer.

Didn't take another 2 or 3 weekends and that bumper was gone!

I'm thinking I can grind away some of the roughed up dirty material and get some of the filler/fiber bearing resin and fill the holes back to solid, and use a little mesh to build up the broken out areas, then redrill and install with the OEM screws. Is there a better option? Pop rivets maybe? Is this a common issue?

And yes it does see fairly rough service, we do like jumping her...

Although I do not have a doo, my son hit the front bumper guard hard on a straight in to the dock. I have to take the bumper guard off and do some surface repair. So I feel your pain. I will go to O'Reily Auto Parts to get a paint match. I found the front bumper guard part # in the manual. I would imagine you have the same ability to get your front bumper guard part # in the same manner. Good Luck

Part is easy to come by and the damaged area is not visible with the bumper on, it covers the entire area, I just need to figure out how the get it strong enough to keep it on, I was amazed that we lost it once it was bolted on rather than screwed, but we did
