Same , however doing a fresh valve job and decking head typically raises compression on most engines. Changes your valves to supertech provides You with a stronger lighter all around better valve that can withstand higher rpm etc.

Is that Your cylinder Head? Very clean machine work there!!!

Shaving the head will only give small change nothing to write home about. The best way to up comp is to put in new hi comp pistons or mod the combustion chamber. As that works for cars not sure what is available for skis.

I think he's concerned that the different head style is going to change compression.

Your reading to far into it. #1 motor cold #2 new head job new head gasket give it a chance to seal in. Dont focus so much on cranking compression, its more of a tool to see where your motor is at then how your motor will perform.

im sure your motor has been sitting? Run it then recheck it if concerened.
