GTR 215 comparison to STX15f Questions

Hi all. Does anyone have experience on both a STX 15f and a GTR 215? I'm looking for comparisons of GTR 215 to STX 15f (and some on a VXS). I have a lot of time on a STX 15f and am curious how the GTR compares to the STX 15f. Specifically I'm curious how the GTR is in rougher water (2' to 4' waves) and how it is with passengers?

Rough water you don't want to be on a VX in the rough. they'll beat you to death and crack the hull. The 15F seems decent in the rough. I have not ridden a GTR 215 yet, though.

2'-4' waves mean I am staying in the bay on my VXR. I can tell you that.

If you have a plate the stx is good in chop, its no ultra but its better than anything Yamaha has with the exception of maybe the new fx. Seadoo its hit or miss, sometimes it feels good and others not so much. The seat is better on the gtr but you shouldnt be sitting in water like that.

I don't know about the STX, but the GTR is great in rough water. Keep in mind that it's a relatively light ski, so you'll feel the waves. But that's the point, right? Passengers love the very comfortable seat, and the "touring mode" ensures they're not thrown around too much with acceleration. Once you try the brake, you'll never go back.

A stx is nothing close to even the fx140 /160series hulls
Those yammi models kill the poor little 15f in rough water......
    Waz

But I do agree you cant uses the the words15f and ultra and rough water in same sentence

    Ummm, he says FX.

15F does well in rough, tracks well, predictable.
The OP asked about VXS, (forget about it) and GTR, which is ok but not as ok as a 15F.
But if your going rough why bother? (to the OP) Get an Ultra LX or the full blown arm ripper.
