    Bilge pump

I see a lot of people are putting these in I have 2 skis and they both only ever have about a cup of water in the hull a bilge pump would not even pump that small amount out. I check the clamps on water hose every year to make sure they are tight. Is there something I am missing.?

A carbon seal failure or an accident like hitting a rock or something like that I suppose. It's just a cheap and easy safety add-on that hopefully never gets used.

It's better to have a parachute and never need it than...well, you know.

be careful which one you order from sea-doo..

    they have 2 kits..
depending on which ski you have is the one you will want to order.. do NOT GO by the descriptions on their websites..
they are still the same as they were 2 years ago when I bought mine.. which I found out was the wrong kit.. you need to look at your fuse box and determine which kind of fuse pins you have.. if you wrong the wrong kit the pins wont fit in the fuse block..
for some reason seadoo used 2 different types of fuse block wiring..
one looks like a "+" the other looks like a "T" when looking at the empty spots..

there is a thread about that..

Jafo...this is the kit I got. Cheapest you will find and is legit. It comes with everything you need...even the switch and epoxy...but I did need more wire to reach the battery. It even has a stainless exhaust ring. For that price you can get 2 and put on on each side of the hull and be good as gold.

It just connects directly to the battery and you can put in an inline fuse. It is not an automatic style pump though so if you are really set on wanting an auto pump you could still get one of these cheaper kits with the manual switch and get another one that's auto with a 3 position switch...IMO that is the way to go. As a bonus...If your auto one ever burns out you will still have the manual one too.

Best to have one in case of emergencies, IMHO.

Here is some information on how I installed the OEM kit:

    Hope it helps.
