SLH only sparks just before i let go of start buttom

My 2001 polaris SLH wont start. this is its first time at non starting.

if I earth the sparkys, they only spark almost as I let go of the start button.

it also trys to start as I let go when the plugs are it.

its the typical "started last week" thing. (haven't used it in water this year) so seems odd.

batterys is well happy and reading 12v plus on dash.

could it be the earth into block???

    cheers

    spence

The Domestic engines require A LOT of power while starting. the MFD voltages can be inaccurate you need atleast 10.6 volts WHILE Cranking. to get spark,

It sounds like your exact problem, pickup a good AGM battery.

    it works now......

I just gave the stop button a fiddle in and out, and hit the start button and it boomed into life.

I have been leaving the lanyard on the stop button. perhaps that the cause.

    thanks

Don't dismiss the marginal battery possibility without checking the actual sustained cranking voltage.

Thats the first sign of a weak battery is spark only when you let off of the start button.

The voltage may not be calibrated correctly on it.

    NGI voltage calibration

I suppose I could do some more investigation. I did try a lot of things already, though...
