Speed Tie & Snap In Fenders

Hello all. I was wondering if someone could give me a review on the Speed Tie's and the Fenders for the Spark? Also, can any of you with the speed ties installed upload a picture of where they are installed on the Spark? I have 2 3up's coming and just want to know if it is worth the money to have them installed.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

I had speed ties on my 09 gtx I S 255.. they were ok but I still found myself using a rope to tie off. The speed ties would get stuck out and I would have to work them back and forth to get them to completely retract some times. I found out that oiling the lines helped them retract fully.

The old Speed ties were not that great, they would come out great but sometimes you had to fight to put them back in. They've fixed the speed tie not coming back in issue now by putting a stronger spring in them so that it comes back in every time. I'm sure the Sparks will have the new spring when you get the speed ties.

The new Speed Ties are worth it in my opinion, rope when you need it and goes away when you don't. Since you don't have much storage on the spark the speed ties seem to be worth it since they don't take up storage space like dock line would.

As for the Snap-in Fenders I don't think its worth it. Since the Ski is all plastic it would seem to me that its like a giant fender. To install the fenders you'll need to punch a hole in the ski so that they can snap in (not hard to do).

You still need a dock line at all times...

Your going to need that dock line to tow in any yamalogs or cows that break down...
