Question 2010 RXT x RS 260 Drive Shaft Replacement

    Hi,

We suffered from the standard shaft's splines shredding

Everyone seems to have replaced it with the 2011 c-clip style shaft.

I need some help with which parts are needed and how it all fits together in the 2010 engine?

    Mainly with sealing the PTO?

    Thanks Jamie

Thats the bits we have got but unsure on the sealing of the PTO?
The new support ring doesn't seal in the same way as the 2010 version does so oil will leak out of the PTO?

I've heard when these driveshaft go some of the local dealers still warranty it or if you offer to pay the labor they will supply.

Actually in addition to the parts listed in post #2 you need parts #49-51 that stuckmoto posted.

Another main reason the 2010 setup had problems is the factory did a shitty job aligning the motor to the pump. I guarantee you that your motor is out of alignment. I have loaned out my alignment tools to over 9 guys and 100% of them including myself have found the main problem is awful factory alignment. This IS the root cause of all of these drive line problems!

Bottom line, replace the 2010 drive line components and PTO seal then re-align the motor and your ski will have no more problems and run just fine. Several of us are running this beast 84-86 mph with no drive line issues.

Let me know if you need any help.
