    Exclamation RXPX ride plate nightmare...

After my winter rebuild, which included an ET 137+4 I was afraid that my ski would hit the magic pump-stuff speed, so I decided to add the LB motorsports pump pressure relief kit. If I only knew what a mess this would turn into, I would have just taken my chances... Removing the ride plat off of my 09 RXPX was a disaster! I followed directions from the forum but to my surprise, the plate was previously removed by the original owner. The coolant lines were siliconed back onto the ride plate, and its amazing to me that it wasn't leaking at all last year. I was going to change my ski over to a closed loop cooling, with Riva's ride plate as a solution, but I found out last night that Riva discontinued that piece... So I looked into buying replacement fittings for the plate, but unaware if I am able to buy all that's needed. On the photo (attached) the pieces in green are broken, and can be purchased, but the fittings in red, are broken as well and I am unaware if they could be bought individually, or does this mean that I need a whole new ride plate? Anyone know the answer / been in this situation?

Unfortunately the threaded pieces are part of the ride plate assembly. A lot of times you end up breaking off some of the bolts when attempting to remove the top cover to replace those things anyway.

hmm... I was thinking about welding metal nipples onto the ride plate instead of using the plastic OEM ones... Has this ever been done?

Keep that plate and buy an open loop kit

That would work, or you could just weld them closed and run a heat exchanger. You gonna have to remove that plate if your going to weld on it..... or you'll end up melting the gasket on the plate.

My idea is to weld two of these to the top of the plate and just use brass NPT fittings to connect the OEM coolant hoses...

As long as there aluminum, and you don't warp the plate when welding them... it'll work!

These would have to be welded to the top, which if I am correct seems to be steel. The plate its self is aluminum.

The top plate is also aluminum. You won't find many carbon components on these ski's.
