    Replacement hose clamps ?

So I was staring into the ski for a long time and while all the clamps on the engine look great, a few clamps down low in the exhaust area are quite rusted. They are constant tension spring clamps. I don't know if I should replace with generic worm screw type clamps.

I did some googling and didn't really find any. Yamaha wants an absurd amount for those clamps. I read of some partial non-safety related recall Yamaha had on some 06-08 skis for bad clamps. I'd hate to have one go and sink the ski.

Anybody find a good source for OEM like replacement clamps?
Or should I just replace with generic SS screw ones?

I replaced all of mine that are in the rear hull section last weekend with the heavy duty stainless worm clamps from west marine. Removing the old rusted ones was a pita. If I did it again I would remove the plastic part below the rear seat to offer enough room to easily get both my arms in to make install easier.

McMaster Carr sells all stainless hose clamps for a reasonable price.

Thanks. I'd already checked them. They don't sell stainless steel constant tension clamps. This is what they have:

They do sell stainless steel pinch clamps, but then I might as well just pick up worm screw clamps locally.

But measure the I.D. for the replacement "Tongue-in-Groove 360' Oetiker Clamps ( from McMaster ) by taking a Caliper to measure
the O.D. of the Hose WITH the Hose on the Fitting end since it will bulge out at that point.

Most of the McMaster SS Oetiker Clamps come in bags of 25 for around $12~$15/bag.

Take your measurement number and select the Clamp Size by getting it close
to the middle of the range for the part number of the SS Oetiker clamps selected.

Been using them for years on everything from Pressurized Fuel Lines
to tiny Rotax Oil Injection Lines to Supercharger Pressure Side Hoses.

Use a set of Flush end Wire Nippers to crimp them rock solid ( Home Depot )

IMO, the problem with all Screw Clamps is the Flat area under the Screw which
can leak under certain circumstances or you have to torque 'em down so tight
they bite into the Hose --- Oetiker 360' SS Tongue-in-Groove Clamps wont do that...

Just dont use them in places you have have to remove them frequently since they're
a PITA to remove but there *is* a trick to do this to avoid the heartache ( and blood )...

My .02 --- keep the change

Personally I don't like the constant tension clamps. If you want something quick Lowes has a pretty good assortment of stainless hose clamps.
