Seems to me they are already starting to go up for sale around here:

$1500 for a rebuild with new everything sounds awesome but I have 0 experience with this motor or ski. How about the set of 140's one works and one doesn't... Most of these have been for sale forever. I've seen that set for over a year or two.

I just looked up NADA for my 02 Virage and it said about $800. Man did these ski's drop in value.

NADA is typically below actual market value for a good running Polaris. Not running or abused, different story.
Location matters. In my area a dead machine is still above NADA

I called him. If that thing were running 100% and he found the right buyer in a perfect market he might see $2000.

I didn't even bother to discuss any further. I said "thanks for your time".

I'd love to find a cheap blown up msx140 and drop in a carb 1200 setup that I have in my basement but I'm Not paying over $500-800 for one.

Let's be honest. The guys like us represent 20% of the market at best. The vast majority of the people in the hobby take skis in for service and etc. Aside from the hobbyist, polarises have no value at all. That's why Craigslist is flooded with them.

When they need service the average consumer doesn't know where to take a polaris to get parts or service. Let's not play dumb to it because we like polarises.

That ski may need a $90 part or a new EMM. I doubt he can figure it out and doesn't know where to take it so he's giving up on it just like a majority of the polarises on CL.

Kbb/nada doesn't give any indication of value whatsoever.
