New to the Forum <<--->> STX 12F damage and questions

I'm looking at buying this ski and am wondering if this is normal wear and tear, fixable, or deal breaker? It's a 2006 STX 12F, has 10 hours on new motor (has paperwork), comes with trailer, cover, and looks great other than the bottom.

Not a deal breaker IMO, but needs to be taken care of. Seen much worse fixed.

This is a normal wear for skis parked on sand.
The important part that you should look is the impeller and pump, maybe it's worn by sand if the ski wasn't beached properly.
Polyester hull are easy and cheap to fix.

Not a deal breaker but is a price reducer...
Compression test and ride anything your looking to buy.
Also put anti seize on the spark plugs and DON'T OVER TIGHTEN THEM...
Plugs are known to break easy so use caution...

    Welcome aboard the Hulk!!

good idea. There is probably a reason why it was rebuilt at 57hrs and not because he was bored.

I bought a Seadoo with a bottom worse than that. I paid a fiberglass repair person 200 to re gelcote the bottom, and its good as new.
