Fish/depth finder for sportster 4-tec
I just recently purchased a 2003 sportster and I am wanting to add a depth finder. I figure it is a smart idea to buy an all in one type.
Can someone give me an idea in what brand and type is a good fit for this boat? I really don't want to shell out a ton of money on one. I am looking at one that is $200.

I don't fish so I got the hawkeye brand http://www.amazon.com/Norcross-Hawke...e+depth+finder
Mount on the outside of the hull. They claim you can glue it inside but since the boats are double walled it doesn't read right.

Thank you. Where did you mount the receiver?

My speedster 200 had a blank spot in the dash for it.

Anyone have opinions on this one? Garmin echoMAP 43dv with Transducer.
I figured there isn't much room for a GPS and a depth finder, and since I want both, this would be best. The other nice thing is the GPS unit will record the water depths along with your tracks. You now have a record of the water depths so you can tell whether you had any close calls for the next time you're in that area.
