    Finally on the water!

Went up to the chain of lakes in Illinois today to water test the RXP on the trailer. Ran it for about ten minutes on the trailer, and I couldnt take it anymore. 46 degree air/50 water(according to gauge) and a slight drizzle of rain. Throw on the wetsuit and off I go. Rode around easy for about 3 minutes and it was time to hammer it. Hole shot with 2 clicks up on trim and I never unhooked. I think the Jetwing sponsons are the reason. It pulled like a raped ape all the way to 76.4 MPH and I had to let off. The rain was like Dick Cheney shooting you in the face with a shotgun. Freezing my rear off, I headed back to the ramp with a big smile.
    The good:
No water leaks, no boost leaks, perfect idle, running strong as hell. My catch can after the ride, had exactly one teaspoon of gaga come out. Exhaust with thru hull and modded box sounds just awesome at all RPMs. My boost gauge at WOT was reading 12 lbs?! bad gauge?! Jerry sent me the wrong S/C?!
    The bad:
I have a new out of box solas 15/20r that needs work, I was at 8280 rpms quick and I could feel it dropping of at top speed. Good thing I have a back up pump and prop while I work that out. I think a 15/19 is in the NEAR future. The S/C makes a chirp when I let off right away from gunning it. I think I read somewhere around here thats normal?

    Illinois People:
The Chain of Lakes is wide open with no ice. There was one fishing boat out, otherwise I owned the place. Anybody planning a ride soon, let me know. I AM GAME!

oh yea i forgot to tell you that you can trim way up on the holeshot with the jet wings. the ski just planes instantly

Did you make some sharp turns with the Jet Wings?

Yes, its normal for your sc to "chirp" when chopping the throttle.

When I ran my ski in 50 or less temps my wear ring would spin. I remember once when it was 40 degrees & my pump was on my bench I could pull the ring out with no problem from just sitting over night.. Do you have a set screw in yours? I think if you ride in cold waters it's a good idea.

Will be on the water at the end of the month my engine is in the halway closet if it was in the ski I would go out.
I will be up there picking my skis up but will need to install engines first.
    Scott.......
