Thread: Octane Boosters?

Ski says 91/3 octane...
All thats available at the Marina is 89.
Should I use an Octane Booster to get the higher octane I should be using?

Is this on your gtr? Mine says 91 recommended, but 89 is ok. (Worded a little different). I was riding a 160 mile round trip and didn't know all the marinas at the top of the lake only had 89,so I didn't have a choice. It didn't run/feel any different.

Stay away from boosters. Race fuel concentrates are what to use. I run torco when I plan on beating on the ski hard.

Running 89 you'll be fine and a high chance you'll notice zero difference in performance.

Always go up one level at the pump, like imposter said the gas that's labeled 87 could be less than that and when you have a gas that's more volatile to ignition due to compression instead of a Spark ignition, you will have bad engine problems when that happens. Basically it ignites itself (premature detonation) lol
