Ultimate Spark Mod - Alaska style

Prototype finished and awesome - GSX RFI donor. Orange 2up HO goes under the knife now.

If someone needs new Spark bodies/parts, will have brand new ones available soon.

    Enjoy the vid

Sweet video. I was wondering during the video if you were ever going to just suck up all that dirt I seen blow through earlier in the video.

I do not want to discourage you, but have you considered using a 215 4 tech setup instead of the 900 ace setup? The 215 setup would cost less $$ and replacement parts would be easier to come by as there are many parts machines out there. The gauge setup is great and you could have factory VTS. And of course 2.5-4 times the hp depending on if you mod the 215 for an easy 260+ hp or not.

Not sure what you are asking - it does suck up all the dirt, but a stainless grate stops anything 3/8" and larger. A sand trap filters the water before it goes through the engine as well. All in all, it seems to hold up good Not so much for the Spark, no surprise there.

Here is a pic of the intake, just drug it in, so grate is packed full of snow.

We have 3 more boats under build - 2 are ACE 900s, 3rd is in fact a 1503 215HP The 215 is for myself so I could utilize a used donor. I will be interested to see the fuel economy difference - range is an issue here. Most rivers are a 30+ mile run by ocean from town - and there are no fuel stops

Don't know what motors your speedster has, but if they are not 4TECs, you would like a swap.

They are awesome little motors - would replace any 787 and down with them in a heartbeat. They are much more responsive, quiet and great on fuel. I don't know how much of the power improvement is the engine and how much is the pump. Little less top end, but more of everything else. The 951s might be a little harder to replace as they have the bigger pump.
