    New vs rebuilding supercharger

It is time for a supercharger rebuild. Is there any advantage of installing a new supercharger in my 2007 RXT 215 over having mine rebuilt? I am asking because the "newer superchargers" have a 200 hr rebuild time as opposed to 100 hrs (at least that's what I'm getting). Is this even a concern? I have been lurking and reading for quite some time and have already decided to send it to Jerry if rebuild is the way I go.

Depending on who rebuilds it,a good rebuild job is as good or better than a brand new one and alot cheaper too...As far as your 200 hour concern goes,That is a marketing gimick by Seadoo..you still want to have your Scer rebuilt at 100 hours as the bearings are what becomes the major issue...they are still using the same ol bearings in their rebuild kits that they have used for the past 7-8 some years now....(the ones they originally rated for 100 hours)...Stick to the 100 hour rule and you should be pretty good to go..
