    Macc racing sponsons questions!!!

Do you think that I should fill the backs up with epoxy to fill the voids? Should I put silicone around the perimeter when mounting them? Also what exactly do the trim tabs at the back really do? Thanks

I love my Macc's. perfect fit, great, great, great adjust-ability and handling.
I installed them as is, no epoxy or silicone. I left the trim tabs all the way UP in the back, helps with the lift of the nose.

Just a little silicone around each bolt is needed. Do not fill the voids... no reason to.

The little tabs at the back increase or decrease bow pressure. I left mine all the way up on my VXR

Thanks for all the info. The instructions were not very informative.

I followed the instructions and put a little rtv along the back and torqued the main bolts with red loctite to the 12.5 ft lbs the manual calls for and blue loctite on the fin bolts to the same torque.

Yeah, long story. Got mine few months after I ordered them, there was a long delay, bolts that came were too long and came to a dead stop while the fin was wobbling about. Hence stainless steel hex heads. Still, great look and performance.
