FZS SVHO Need Advice Please
I am currently running a 07 GP1300 which has been a great ski. I am looking to add to my current toy box but I torn between the 310x or the FZS. I am not looking to turn this in to a Kawi vs Yami debate. I have owned both brands and have been pleased with both in regards to reliability.
I live in West Palm Beach FL and use the ski about 50/50 fresh water and salt water. I've heard that the Yamahas were having clutch issues. Is it too early to tell the reliability of the 2014? Also, how is the hull and how does the FZS handle choppy water?
I know the kawi excels in choppy water and I know they are fast. I hear of minor issues only. The one area that seems to be an issue with Kawi is they can't seem to get them over 75 MPH with mods. 75 appears to be slow for a FZR/S as there are many posts of them going 80+.
If anyone has experience both I would really appreciate any comparisons.

Clutch issues mostly gone with the 3rd gen clutch design. Powerful ski out the box and mod friendly.

Have got 25 hours on my Fzs svho and I couldn't be happier. Hole shot and the torque of the motor are arm wrenching. If your going to be riding in some real ruff stuff maybe consider a fx svho. Joel

Awesome. Thank you all for the responses. You have made my decision easy. Now I have to get approval from the warden.
