    Flywheel differences?

In doing a bit of research on 4-tec flywheels used in the 215-255-260 engines, BRP has 4 different part numbers from 04 to 14 models.

    420834486: 04-05

    420834872: 06

    420834488: 07-08-09-10-11

    420834874: 12-13-14

Dimensionally these are all identical, and will work on any year 215-255-260 engine. Does anyone know why there are 4 different part numbers for the same part, or more importantly know the differences between them??? Also.... has anyone had any issues with a particular year model flywheel?

The only thing I've noticed Bryan is the cranks are balanced a little differently between those years and the flywheels seem to reflect that. Only thing I can seem to find. Very small and have seen so issue swapping them from year to year.

That's the only thing that would make any sense I guess. I'm curious to find out if there are any changes to the harness of the flywheels over these 4 different part numbers???

Has anyone run into issues with chipped teeth on the SC gear portion of the flywheel used in the 12-13-14 engines when running a big charger?

That's on the magneto cup, and has been in the same place since 06.

As far as I know the only difference as far as swapping a different year is ........N/A's only have a single set of gear teeth......185's use different spacing (Gear Teeth count? not sure).......as far as I've seen 215's 255's 260's up to 2012 at least should all be interchangable.

That also happens on 07-11 flywheels too.
