Seadoo 787 XP Counter balance oil

I rebuilt my seadoo 787 and made a amatuer mistake, I didnt add counter balance oil 30W to engine upon assembly. I have the block off kit installed, do I need to take the plug out and add 30ml?

you have to add the oil in the counterbalance reservoir... also, don't forget that the oil bath for the rotary valve shaft needs an oil supply... quick motor death will result if you leave them dry

On the 800, the balance shaft gear does not run in an oil bath. The oil is put in at the factory to aid break in, and is then burnt up in the engine. The gears are open to the crankcase and are lubed with oil mist. The 951 has an oil bath and uses a different system.

The RFI must be the exception then, because the one i cracked was sealed off from the rest of the crank case... I have also split the cases on a few well ran 787 motors and found oil still in there. Point is... this guy needed to put oil in there anyway... His needed the oil at least for break in even IF what you are saying is correct. Bear in mind... sled motors are different... way different.
