    VXR Top speed issue?

So just got my second ride of this season done with. This winter my 2013 VXR got all the Riva goodies. Power Filter kit, engine breather, ribbon delete, Riva waterbox, free-flow exhaust, Rideplate, adjustable sponsons, and finally a solas dynafly 14/20 impeller. 23FT altitude, HIGH 30 DEGREE Air temp, GPS still clocked me at 66.5Mph. Debating a reflash, but i'm not looking to spend almost another $800 to still no crack 70mph. I must be doing something wrong, right? Also i had the sponsons adjusted all the way up for the GPS run. 40 Hours on machine.
PS: also has Riva stainless steel Top loader intake grate with pump seal kit

14/20 is way too tall, need to be in the 16 -17 range, the riva grate also scrubs off speed, but give you great hook up. go with the R&D R3 reflash if your going to reflash the ecu

Had a feeling about the prop, i guess ill stick with it for the season, seeing that its brand new. I've looked into the re-flash for a while but still on the edge about it. The pitch I have is better for holeshot right?

And it was 66.5 at Stock redline

Getting the prop into the ECU's powerband is the secret to getting the most out of these and any ski really. You'll need an aftermarket tach to see what you are really turning, then you can pitch from there.

Get a tiny tach for now. Or spend a few bucks and get a pet 2100. It is the best thing to help with prop choice. Everyone is pushing the ecu remap but .........yeah i know it is said it helps overall but its $675 .........i guess its all up to you...

The grate isn't shimmed, and the plate is using the factory rideplate shims. Forgive if this is a stupid question but if i don't have a reflash and i'm turning factory limited max rpm, do i really need the tach to determine what pitch on the impeller would be best? Shouldn't it just be the same pitch as what most other people have success with, w/o the reflash?

The stock Guage is so hard to tell what it really is.
