what would cause the hull to fill up with coolant smoke while winterizing?

what would cause a rxpx to fill the hull with coolant smoke when re winterizing? has riva thru hull, riva relocation kit, bla bla bla. etc etc. . I know i have a boost leak from one of my intercooler pipes, but dont think that is the culprit to why my hull started to full up with white smoke when adding coolant to water inlet by pump.

anyone else come across this issue? im going to be replacing all of my IC piping and couplers with new riva ones, and will look into my riva thru hull, but would be nice to have someone chime in.

Hot i/c and cold anti freeze = steam??

Just a guess without looking at it myself.

Sure it was coolant smoke and not just steam? Did it smell sweet?

Can you see where the smoke is coming from. You should not have smoke in the hull unless there is an exhaust leak.
Did you maybe spill coolant on the exhaust manifold or water box?

it did smell sweet, i only ran it long enough to get the coolant to start coming out..

thanks for the helpful reply chris!

this only happens when winterizing with coolant.

did develop a water leak last year towards end of season, hence why im replacing all the IC piping /couplers/ etc

so the water exhaust leak is coming from either the manifold or vband area, is there a way to test this?
