    Canadians please comment on insurance

    Hello
I need some suggestions on insurance companies. I am picking up 2013 rxt x 260 and wake 215 Saturday. I did get a quote from my home insurance provider however it was more than my 35 ft power boat.

Suggestions and ideas of costs appreciated.

Premier Marine is the one I decided upon. The fine print was as good as you're going to get.

Where are you? I know Ontario has more options than BC.

The crappy thing is that you have to buy it for a full year only. Cannot cancel after 6 months and get a refund. You have no ride times of Nov to April and you cannot just buy liability.

In Ontario I went with April Marine. It was like $450~ for the year for total insurance on a 08 RXP-X and trailer.

But would love to hear any other options.

I had also looked at Beacon Underwriting but they were quite over-priced vs Premier Marine and their wording
was pretty restrictive as well. As I said before take a very close look at the fine print and it's coverage on
"other riders" and theft parameters. I used to have mine in the side yard behind a locked fence (non-visible) chained
down including trailer into heavy duty iron eyelets that were cemented into the pad but this wasn't good enough.

The insurance company wanted them in my garage - which could be broken into, garage door opened and trailer connected
and gone in 60 seconds vs IMO a hell of a lot of work to get them from the side yard. So now I have them in an airplane
hanger at an airport. Unlikely theft there but the hanger itself is not as secure as my side yard....

    Still seems a bit high....

Also I noticed this in the contract...

Were you able to try Premier Marine at all? Beacon was almost double Premier Marine. I had no access to April Marine - not
    in BC.
