Try pulling the wire out of the boot that goes over the plug. Cut it off and put it back together. Sometimes it is corroded and and doesn't get good spark to the plug.

Don't get zapped at all?? Every dang time i remove a plug wire while it's running i get zapped. Do a quick test of the coil and see if it is within spec.

try trimming the coil wire back a 1/4 of an inch, that boat has a one piece coil not three separate coils so i doubt the coil pack is bad .

so if the coil pack was bad it woulent run at all, ill try to get the coil to the dealer tomorow moring so they can test it. what else could it be that would make the plug not spark.

Did you try cutting the plug wire back about 1/4 - 1/2"? Unscrew the boot from the wire and cut it, rescrew it back on, and ziptie it. Sometimes that will give you a better connection.

The coil is a one piece unit, but has 3 separate coils inside, so it could be bad and still allow two cylinders to fire. It's easy to run an ohm test on the coil and stator. Look in the Tech Tips section under "domestic electrical".

i cut back the wire and it dident help, im going to do a test on the coil tonight after work, so there is nothing else that could be making that plug not fire it can only be the coil?

It could definitely be the stator, but its also possible that it could be the CDI...unlikely, but possible. Resistance test the coil and the stator and report back.
