Any idea of the increases I'll see with just more boost ???

I plan to go with a 137-4 wheel this year... I have a logger and Dynotune set up so I will know where I'm at AFR wise... Just going from 10 ish to about 13 lbs at 8100... I'm wondering if anyone had done this or has some insight on what (More RPM's ??) I may see by doing it... My mods on my 09 rxpx are below in sig...

    Thanks,

    Ripper

you need a reflash more than anything. I gained 500+ RPMs.

When I went to a bigger wheel in my 08, I got to top end alot faster, but I only saw about 1 mph more top speed. Now when I went to a reflashed ecu, thats when I saw a big increase in top speed.

    to keep it around there with a 137x4 you'll need a 15/22

my rxpx went from a stock X charger, 42's, RRFPR, 15/22r to swapping out for a 137+4 and it was night and day difference. I had to increase pitch to keep it away from the limiter. I would do the 8350 tune to gain more rpm and be safer.

Do the valvetrain(retainers, or valves springs and retainers). Propping a PX with any SCer like that is a PITA. You run a pretty good chance of blowing a headgasket, if you bang the limiter at all. It cost the same to flash to 8350 as 8800 or higher so why not just do valve train and raise limit to at least 8800. The acceleration is a lot more fun being able to turn it up to 9K though.

I ran the 137 at 8100 with stock valves/springs and saw 13 lb boost.. increased mid and about mph faster up top.. but when I did this I went from a 127 wheel to the x charger with the 137 in it. night and day difference between the pull of the two wheels. ran the 137 on bosch 48s at 8100.
I needed to pitch 3 mm to my 15/22 prop to stay off the limiter and like stated before its a PITA to keep off the limiter safely in climate changing temps . Do what others have stated and do the springs and retainers then you can bump the limiter to 8350 tune and it be all good from there and be safe.
