    Metal or ceramic washers?

Picked up two skies. Need help identifying if they are metal or ceramic washers?
I believe the black one has the gold metal washers and not sure on the red charger? Both out of 05. Gtx limited and 215 sportster.

The black one has metal washers, but should be rebuilt to the latest, & greatest rebuild kit, if it has alot of hours on it.
The red one definately has ceramics, & should be updated as well.

The SC shafts were updated since ceramics were used, so don't just replace the washers.

I agree with psycho rxp.....you must rebuilt/update to the latest versions ASAP.

Thanks for the info! how can one tell if the shaft is the new or old style? The black one has 150hrs on the ski and red hrs are unknown but needs a full rebuild anyway and a new motor since the boat sank.

Just use the latest update supercharger rebuild kit on them both. It comes with the new shaft and everything. Same kit will fit them both as long as they are both 215 HP.

New style shaft has the same ID on both clutch washers, the old style used a smaller ID clutch washer on the side towards the nut.
