2011 yamaha fzs automatically switched off at wide open throttle

What could possibly be wrong when a fzs (sho engine) turns off on its own on wide open throttle (full throttle) and take several minutes for the engine to fire up again.
New plugs, full tank of new fuel. Throttle body butterfly not jamming.

    very confusing

When did the problem start? Checked for codes? Did it start after adding any mods?

Tps or tb...have you checked harness ? Remote the 3 Ecu plugs and check the pins in the Ecu for rust or corrosion. And also pull each wire from the plugs and inspec them for damage. Use a needle nose and push in the white tab on the plug and you'll be able to pull the wires right out. Inspect one at a time and then re-install them.

this has happened to a modified waverunner and a stock waverunner... Just out the blue the ski turned off at wide open throttle. very strange. had never happened before.

    Shall check the ecu plugs.
