To sell your ski? Nothing. They need to pay Tax, RIV, Trip and Exchange rate. Trailer needs a compliance label and title. Jet Ski needs registration. I've brought a few back with no issues.

RIV only applies to those trailers less than 15 years old from actual date of trailer manuf. Make sure the Canadian has a bill of sale for each unit and the title for each from you. If they found out about you from Craigslist tell them to have a copy of the CL ad. They need something to show the border the value of the seadoo vs what was paid.

Its not ALWAYS required but it makes everything a LOT smoother.

Yes they should. If you have all your paperwork in order it will go nice and smooth. Also he needs a bill of sale from you.

Also - if the trailer is indeed 15 years or newer and the RIV inspection and fee will be required make 100% sure the VIN decal
and the Load decal that shows the tire size(s)/ GVW capacity is present and readable on the trailer. Sometimes this information is combined into the one decal. You MUST have this on the trailer for the RIV inspection.

Ask me how I know this....

If it doesn't have the label you can get a 30 day pass, and order a new label from the manufacturer

No 30 day pass in BC at least (as per RIV office) but for one I was able to contact the manufacturer and get the GVW info
via email believe it or not. The VIN decal was already present thankfully. The other trailer manufacturer was out of business (Spirit Trailer) and since no info was available I was required to return it to the USA.

    What a bunch of horsepoop.

Requiring an inspection on a trailer a year old is asinine when they allow a 20 year old POS potentially dangerous trailer
to be licensed and used without any inspection. It should be the other way around - 15 years and OLDER requires the
    RIV process.

I'll have to figure out what they call it but I believe it is new. You would think it would be the same as all provinces
