ID:	325574Help me. I just picked up my new machines. Despite having questioned the dealer I think I don't have enough tongue weight. The trailer is bouncing all over the place. Can people comment from pictures. I am on the side of the road trying to sort this out.

Are you getting rattling from the hitch ball area itself? You could take it off the truck and lift the trailer at the front. If it's quite light you may be a little light. The rattling will tell you that when driving though.

If so you can move the tongue crank forward towards the truck, say 6 inches and the lift the trailer again. That moves the weight towards the front. Just remember to really tighten the tongue crank bolts back up and reconnect the machine!

By tongue crank I obviously mean the crank that you use to connect the machines to the trailer.

Yes lots of rattling. I have moved them forward 6 inches and seams to be helping. Nervous with two new machines on back and ten hour drive.

I have the same trailer...had the same issue. They will be fine, I made several trips to mudbug, and back, Ozarks and back...best trailr to have them on, tracks straight and true...

The rattle is from the trailer bouncing up and down, and its pivoting on the twin axles. You never see this on a single axle trailer..

MOVE THE BALL OF THE HITCH UP, so you are not completely LEVEL across...

So pull the receiver, flip the ball to the other side...then try again...

I have 2 sets of receivers in my truck, one for this trailer, the other for my boat...
