New to Corpus Christi Texas were to ride?

I just moved to Corpus from New York. I brought my Seadoo with me. I am seeking information on where people from this area ride. Back in NY for convienience I would rent a PWC slip/dock from my local marina every summer. So I only did ocean riding, never did any lakes or fresh water riding or much trailering of my seadoo. Do marinas here rent PWC slips? If so which ones and how much do they go for? Are there many boat ramps public or private that i could use? Sorry for so may questions any info would be greatly appreciated. Oh I live in the southside so anything close that anyone could recommend? Thanks in advance.

Hey Mark, I just saw this post. I live in Corpus on the southside as well. I'm not sure if any of the marinas rent out PWC slips. Lots of boat slips some even have lifts. I just trailer my stuff out to the island to ride. I usually launch at the JFK causeway on the island side of it. There are two free ramps on the north east side of the bridge. Marker 37 is over by Snoopys and has a really nice boat ramp, but it costs $5. Also on the island you can launch at Packery Channel. It's off of park road 22 going towards Port Aransas. From packery it's a quick shot out the channel to the gulf. Or you can go back the other way and hit the intercoastal. There is a place called the ski canals that gets pretty packed during the summer. Kind of like spring break, but all summer long. PM me if you want to ride sometime. I'm off every weekend, but I shoot long range rifles about every other Saturday. We usually ride on Sundays for a pretty good part of the day. Some nights we will go out after work and ride during the week, especially once it starts staying light later.

I've never ridden there personally. But that's mostly because there hasn't been any water in the last few years. I plan to ride there this summer some. It's only 45 minutes from my house.
