    XLT800

MY XLT800 might need some of your expert advise. my brother in law mainly rides it and he wants some more get up and go. right now it has riva plate /or island racing plate, riva grate,11/14 solas, and a free flow. i was thinking about cutting the head,f/a's ,with prefilters.watersocks, a jetworks mod, and he asked about reeds as well. i told him the carbs would prob need to be juiced a bit if he was gonna do all these mods. what is your take on this mr. jim???

To be honest with you Brian, All i would do with the ski is a modded plate that would yield the most speed. An impeller and raise the compression for a better hole shot and speed a rejet and flame arrestors, I would not go any further than that the ski is just to heavy and the engine is way to small.

Nope, but when I'm done with my Gpr conversion,I will be building a larger cubic inch stroker naturally asperated Honda to go in mine

SMW,IMHO I think better reeds and a spacer plate would helpout. The spacer would give it a few extra R's and better flowing reeds would help the hard working little 800 run cooler.I'm also wondering if a 3* keyway would help

I really havent decided yet,but thiers lots of JDM's on ebay without tranniys that are fairly reasonable.I kinda went overboard with the turbo, and I'm sorting out the final details on the engine build.Once I get the engine built I will be able to do more research, but it will probably be a stroker rotating assembly around 2.2 or 2.5 N/A
