I sold my VXR 2012 for a RXP 260 2013 last year and I cannot stop smiling........but just try the new 2014 FZR because is very different from the 2013.

As a previous Yamaha owner and now Sea-Doo owner, I am one who disputes the claim that Yamaha's reliability is so great. First of all, there are chances of failure with any machine. I knew there were chances of failure with the '14 Sea-Doo I bought so I had many modifications and checks done to it before I took delivery. The main complaint I had with my FZ Yamahas is that the hulls cracked and that's not a repairable failure. The VXR doesn't have a supercharger or the NanoXcel hull so it will be a lot more reliable than the FZ or FX models. I also had a '12 RXP-X and it is a very cool boat.

The rxpx is the most fun ski to ride. If you want to go 80+ buy a yami

I'm with you! Want to get Rxpx next season but not sure because of the bad things you hear about them.

It's your money so buy what you like. I have bought 4 boats in the last two years to find something that works for me. If it wasn't for the crappy Yamaha design and build quality that I witnessed, I would have only had to buy 2 boats. If "good" reliability is very important to you, you don't want a high performance PWC. There are shortcomings with all of the boats on the market. For me, I'm willing to spend and suffer to keep them running because the pull of a supercharged boat is addictive.
