Trying to remove Supercharger
Trying to remove my supercharger but can't remove the clamp holding the j-pipe to exhaust manifold so I can slide water box back a little to remove SC. SC already unbolted but can't slide past the water box.
Ive unsnapped the j-pipe clamp but it will not come free. Almost like its glued on. Hesitant to apply more force. Any tricks to get this clamp off? Thanks

They go on pretty tight, you have to pry them off with a screwdriver or tap them with a hammer sometimes to.unseat them.

Yessir the bolt is off. It's free but won't release from around the pipe

Smack the joint with a dead blow hammer,

Hammer directly on the clamp body or more toward the lip of the loosened portion? Up to this point only took bout 45 minutes to remove the sc. this is the last thing i need to do. Aarrrrghhhh.....getting dark

Dead blow....do not use a flat head, you will bend the lip of the Jpipe...CAREFUL, the endbell keeps it aligned and is a tight fit...
A couple good taps and it will come free...When it does, and you can take it out...CLEAN the inside of the mating surface on the jpipe, and the surface of the manifold, with some scotch-brite pads...

Tap the end of the clamp where the opening is, it will come free.
