If your talking about the switch I think you are talking about it revs the engine up slightly so if you are cruising along and let off the gas completely and go to turn, it gives it enough gas to turn the machine without you having to give it gas yourself.

Correct. Polaris has a specific name for that off power + full lock steering feature.

Which service manual are you using?

The switch is part of the 'Enhanced Steering Performance' (ESP) system. ESP is only on the Polaris MSX watercraft, it will not be found on the wiring diagram of any other Polaris Ficht model.

There is a LR-86 special module (4010913) which connects between the TPS and the EMM. The ESP system can cause the EMM to automatically increase engine power above idle under specific steering and hull speed conditions.

The steering switch connects to a single wire from the NGI display and another single wire which runs to the LR-86 module.

w035303ca/cb manual. I thank you for the explanation, but in my msx140 the connector is disconnected and I can not find the connector to which to connect in the compartment under the steering wheel. where is precisely where it connects to the connector shown in the attached photo?

Is that a genuine Polaris published service manual or an independant service manual?

Polaris manuals have a part number on the back cover, typically 99_______

Here is what my MSX 140 cable connection for the ESP steering switch looks like.

My guess is that your missing cable end has fallen down beside the fuel tank.

The flat orange item in the photo is a collapsible paddle.

Looks clean enough to eat my lunch off! Do you have a OCD problem with this ski.
