The 2nd Round of the Greenhulk.net US HydroDrag Nationals, santioned by the IJSBA, will be held at Lakes End Park on Lake Palourde on May 3rd and 4th in Morgan City, LA The World”s Fastest PWC Race on Water is coming to the Cajun Coast for the 1st time and all of the “HydroManiacs” are looking forward to racing in a new location, at an excellent site, with a lot of spectators.Racers will be vying for double-series points, $5,000 in cash and prizes, and a shot at being the recognized Overall US National Champion in IJSBA sanctioned competition. Racers will compete in several competitions in addition to HydroDrag Racing (head to head-2 at a time), including the pwcperfomance.com Speed Alley (Radar runs), the Blowsion/RRP Flatwater Freestyle Show, Waterfrontoo Slalom Competition, and a Closed Course demo. There are 5 Classes for competition; Stock, Spec, N/A, Superstock, and Unlimited.
The racers aren’t the only folks ready to come to Morgan City, local, Jerry Gaddis, from Greenhulk.net and the patriarch of the Mudbug event had this to say, “Greenhulk.net is thrilled that the HydroDrags and the city of Morgan City have come together to bring this event to our home town. The HydroDrags will take place at the same time as the annual Mudbug Nationals Rally which brings in hundreds of personal watercraft enthusiasts from all over the country every year. We are predicting a huge turnout which will be a great treat for both racers and spectators!”. Carrie Stansbury and Katie Tamporello of the the Cajun Coast Visitors Bureau, ehoed Gaddis’ statement, saying,”We are very exicited about this event coming to our city!”.This is the 1st time, under IJSBA sanction, that the HydroDrag Nationals have been held out of Florida.
There will be something for everyone, high-speed, head to head action, Freestyle Slalom, Closed Course Racing, crowd giveaways from our sponsors (Yamaha, Sta-Bil, Sea Doo, and Jet Pilot), RIVA Racing autograph session, music, and in general…a whole lot of fun! If you come to the event by boat, please be advised that tere will be race course boundry lines that should be respected as St Mary’s and St Martin’s finest will be patrolling this area. For those who come by car, there is a nominal parking fee of $5, spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating, food and drink will be available on site. VIP passes for the Hot Pits and the Race Hospitality Tower will be available at on-site registration for $15, which will include food and drink. Put your seat backs and tray tables in their upright and locked positions as the Mudbug HydroDrag National is coming to Morgan City!!!

**Attention** Mikey Young wanted to let everyone know that all events must be attended for an Overall Championship. Mikey Young is going to put up a $250 cash bounty on the Unlimited Speed Alley Class and an extra $100 for any racer that breaks a previous record as well as a 100 percent payback in the Drags!

I just want to be sure the N/A class is an option at round 2. I see it listed on the entry form, but I remember there being talk of it going away due to lack of participants.

Championship Rings can be won for Speed Alley as well as HydroDrag Classes, but participation is mandatory in all races in the Greenhulk.net US HydroDrag Nationals events and Mudbug Nationals attendees will have an Appreciation Party after racing on Saturday with the band Crossroad on the VIP Tower. Brandon (97 sleeper) are you bringing your 97 down to race? I can't find anything that's clear on weather our skis are legal or not.
