Freshened up and ready for the season

I just dropped in two freshly gone through motors today in both my GPR's it has been a long day one is buttoned up the other will be done tomorrow. I will be out breaking these in and tuning for the entire week starting on the 31st at Lake Havasu I can not wait.

    02 GPR
My original motor had a 4 corner sieze on the #1 cylinder at about 3 hours run time due to air leak. I replaced that cylinder and piston and also added a new trued balanced and welded crank with polished rods it is a sweet crank Thanks InSaneDiego-Joe for hooking me up on this one. I have balanced all the pistons and repaired some threaded holes in the case with Stainless inserts. reassembled and pressure tested this thing is tight this time. I was running a modified OEM Head but for this trip I will be trying the Riva 41cc Head just to see what it has. I ran the water like Riva shows but will also add a tee in each circuit and dump it over board via 4mm pissers. I have custom 48mm carbs with Novi atomizers and am running 3" cones with outers. Dual fuel supply and premix, Riva Gas valves ,Advent Yam 59 and to add a twist I am experimenting with a fluid dampning coupler. I just got an 800 grate the 2" extension is already installed I will be installing my new 05 pump and dynafly(Thanks Jgustman). I am running stock stepped sponsons and stock shimmed tabs and Jims original Package J-plate.

01 GPR (Thanks OU812 for hooking me up big time here)
this ski came to me with a bad #2 cylinder it had recently had a cylinder failure on #1 and was replaced with new parts I found after pulling the motor the crank was new also. there had been some damage to the case and it was welded and repaired from the inside. I went through this motor completely. I removed the S-3 stinger and replaced with stock stinger and R&D d-plate added wave eaters completely went through the carbs and rejetted to spec, Pro-Tec adapters with Prok F/A's. I put on a modified OEM 150 psi head. will run a 1200 grate R&D plate package spec, R&D tabs or shimmed stock tabs, stepped sponsons and nujet 6.5 island speed cut I will keep the oil injection intact in this one for now. I will also have a solas YF 14/20 and yet to be determined (need to pull it and check it) skat impeller with me.

I am looking forward to vacation.

I believe Spud posted on the 2-4mph package thread today that will explain his absense.

Speed goals are moderate right now I need some good motor time and then I can start dialing the hulls in I am shooting for 75+ with the 02 and 70 with the 01 I have not filled any holes yet. I will have all the necessary items with me to make adjustments and fill and sand. and plenty of parts to try. Both motors are non ported 1200's I just acquired some ported cylinders not sure when they will arrive so it is for the next engine. I have two scored cylinders in the big bore pile once I get a third I will get them off to Lowell for a 1390 build.

Jdog that is the stock set-up less some of my handy work. I allways wanted to do a side draft on the 65U motor. on the GPR with stock single pipe you can not even see the carbs once the pipe is installed it goes over the top of them.
