    gp800 melt down

    hi all. your thoughts on,25 hours old gp800 pv motor, going fine then lost power. top of one piston above ring land has started to destroy its self leaving some of top ring exposed. what causes this ?

    I would guess its on the exhaust side. Probably detonation from lean fuel mixture. Or its possible you dropped an exhaust valve.

    if it helps , i have a almost new condition head for your 800r .
