The stock speedo won't go past 70mph...

...will the tach read more than 8150?

...is it more accurate than the speedo?

If you turn more than 8150, it'll read more than 8150...

That is what I was hoping. You can understand why I was asking though.

    So, the next questions being....

What is the optimal rpm my engine should be turning when at WOT?

With the need...requirment....want...for a new prop, is my motor turning fast enough for a...beefier...different? impeller...without loosing either the top or bottom?

For our skis it seems all of the ecus are supposed to provide optimal performance while running 100 rpms away from the limiter with occasional flashes of 50 rpms away from the limiter. With this said, the stock ecu should provide the best performance at 8100 rpms with occasional 8150. If you've got an RXP the 14/19r 4 blade is a good improvement over stock even if the only thing you add is a new air intake. You'll need an IC or SC to move up from there to a 15/20 4 blade or 15/19 3 blade.

    Thanks.

How about for basically a stock RXT?

    Why have a limiter?

I don't know the prop of choice for the RXT. 14/17 maybe?
There's a limiter so the engine is not constantly over stressed.

Exceeding the recomended RMP will cause engine faliure. Broken rods, rings, cranks, etc. You can go over it for a while but it will shorten engine life.

With an RXP and RXT sharing the same engine...why the difference in props?
