Use SeaDoo Superchargers on other vehicles?
Hey guys, saw a bunch of these things on ebay and such as people upgrade and/or blow up engines.
Began to wonder, could it be put on other engines ya think?
Like Yamaha MR-1 engines? Replacement for the 1.8 SHO supercharger? Put on a Honda Civic?
I mean, something that has a supercharger putting out 255 hp obviously has enough steam to supercharge any small 4 cylinder, no?
I don't know about the clutch issues, or how that can be lessened.
I also don't know how it's drove off the engine, chain?
Just looking to learn!

I have seen one on a Kawi 300. They removed the factory charger and installed the OEM Rotax charger.

I'm no supercharger expert so I don't know.
I do know turbo chargers can usually be used across platforms with some innovative engineering.

I would even think that you could get rid of the clutch aspect of the supercharger lengthening the life of it before rebuilds. I understand the need for one on an application like the ski's, but on a car or something you wouldn't need it.
