What is the best way to clean stock IC?

What is the best way to clean the exterior core, not internally where water travels, but where air goes thru it.
what can I spray on it to get oily residue off screen and tubes?...PR...

pale rider you can clean the outer core with traffic film remover or any household degreasant, just spray the **** into the intercooler and powerwash it out, make sure you put the oil breather pipe into a catch, or like i do let it blurt in the hull.

Andy, if i can find it i have this acid wash stuff that works really well. I used it on an alumium intercooler and it looked brand new afterwards. I don't know if shipping it is legit but i can tell you what it is. I think it was called Ez Brite. You might be able to find something like it in home depot or an auto parts store.

Greased Lightning, Spray Nine or something simailar is what I used and it did fine. If it's coked up with baked on oil, soaking in a gas is what I've heard others do for that.

Oh yeah, rinse with hot water before and after spraying it with the cleaner helps!
