    Talking Buying 2004 Gtx Supercharged

I am going to look at a 2004 Gtx Supercharged and was wondering what all to look for when buying a used ski. He will let it go for $2800 comes with extra ski that does not run and has hole in the hull (use for parts) and double trailer with new bearings and tires. Has 166 hrs on it and has been kept in garage and winterized every year. Wondering if it's a good deal?

    Thanks

Ok thanks. I am test driving it today. Anything that will show right off that the supercharger is bad? I heard if it doesn't get max rpm around 8100 then it's bad.

Max rpm for 185 is 7600

Well, I went to test ride the ski and after 5 mins in the water the oil light came on. I brought it in and it was bone dry. We put 1 qt and it was still showing bone dry. We decided to put it back on the trailer and go at it another day. Does anyone know why or something to look for?

I'd walk away. You don't want to risk anything with water crafts. Something 10 years old such as that ski could have a long list of issues.

Well I did not see any oil in hull or coming out of the back of it. It ran strong and had plenty of power. How many quarts does it hold?
