    Salt water corrosion question

Here are some pics of a recently purchased 2010 Yamaha FX HO with low-hours (~20).
Original owner was a little lax at properly cleaning after use/storage.
I would like to know what, if anything, I can use to dissolve this rust or prevent further rusting or corrosion.
i have purchased a couple of cans of Fluid Film and will use.

Fluid Film to coat it and help to prevent any further issues.

That machine is beautiful. I don't see rust on the engine except maybe on the hose clamp? If it is rusted, replace it with a quality clamp. I'd send the prop out as a precaution. Polish the drive shaft with a gray scotchbright, Fluid Film the engine. Have fun.

Hi, I cleaned up the impeller/shaft, then fluid filmed, and will be out on the Chesapeake tomorrow.... nice 75degF weather to enjoy!
Will rinse, wash, & dry, upon returning. Wax in the morning.
Any suggestions on where to source high-quality hose clamps at a decent price?

    Cheers,
    Barry

I'll swing by West Marine and pickup some clamps when I get back from vacation which unfortunately will prevent me from the Wavedaze Saturday festivities

Enjoy the trip and I look forward to another trip soon!
