    Question Spark vs. late GP1300?

    Hi!

    Here in Sweden a late 07-08 GP1300 in really good condition and with few running hours would probably be about the same money or a little less then a new 2up 60hp with a Vtech tune.

    I know asking this in this forum might easily give me a bit biased answers but I hope I could get a few fair opinions, preferably by people who have riden both

    So how would they compare? I know the obvious that the GP would be faster in a straight line and use a lot more fuel but what about handling and maneuverability general? Isn't the GP supposed to be rather light weight and agile compared to many of the modern 4-strokes but I guess it would still be quite a bit heavier than a Spark?

    The fact that the Spark would be brand new and it's a 4 stroke would be enough for me to choose it over the GP1300. That's just me though.

    I second that. You couldn't pay to get back on a 2-stroke. The reliability factor really plays in with the 4-strokes on long rides or ocean riding.

    Im going to disagree. If it were me I would go for the GP1300. A slightly bigger and way faster ride. There is nothing wrong with a 2 stroke if its properly maintained.

    I have bad news, a lot of the lakes I'm going to they don't allow 2 strokes, that put the last nail on the coffin for my wonderful xp 800
