Any ideas on how to remove carb bolt that is rounded?

Trying to get my carb off of a 96 slt 780. It's a feeler bolt. Can't see it. Got 4 off no problem but stripped/rounded. There is no room to get anything down there. Any ideas other the pulling motor? I was thinking maybe a socket extractor. But don't think I can get a hold of it

I ended up cutting one off with a hack saw blade. Or if you can get a dremel in there cut it off. Then just replace the stud.

I have thought about that. I just don't think I can get anything down in there. It is a tight fit.. I even had to get a stubby wrench to take the nuts off

You "may" have to pull the motor, and then you can access with vise grips / or cut it off.

The motor will come out with the intake / carb rack on.

Does the exhaust have to come off for the motor to be removed. I guess I have to pull the gas tank to get the exhaust off.

Can you just unbolt the intake manifold & pull it with the carbs on ?

You can unbolt the pipe and pull the motor with the pipe still in the hull. If you can remove the exhaust manifold while the engine is still in the hull that should make it easier.
