    2008 rxp x help

First off, I am sorry I dont have time to search the threads (single dad and 60 hrs a week job)..I have tried but cannot find a definate answer. I used to own a 2006 rxp and now trying to build my rxp x up a bit. It currently has 20hrs on it.

Do you still need to replace the washers in these superchargers?

Is there a way I can run an open exhaust without intercooler relocation?

Anything else I should know or maintence on this ski before it breaks?

I am not looking to be the fastest guy on the water, but just want the best bang for my buck.

Simple things I have done are...opas, filled ride plate holes, shaved reverse bucket, and 4inch air intake..

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Has your SC ever been rebuilt? If not, it's due. Here is the link to the rebuild kit which includes the metal washers: http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=763

It only has 20hours on the ski? If it needs the metal washers, I am going to have that done anyways. Was just unsure if that was still a problem on the x skis or px or both?

SCer rebuild is 100 hrs OR 2 years (whichever comes first). You are way past two years if the SCer has never been rebuilt.

On another subject, you say "I am not looking to be the fastest guy on the water, but just want the best bang for my buck." My suggestion would be to stay with the regular engine service recommendations without changing anything from OEM. Once you start upgrading what's inside the hull, it's like a disease, it's never ending. Why not keep what you got on the inside, and upgrade the outside with a ride plate, intake grate, a nozzle, and maybe a wedge.

To pick up a little speed, swap out the intake grate...

Don't forget to add a strainer to the setup...

I believe you can run through-hull exhaust with the stock intercooler, you just need to delete the OPAS

So I have to use the Riva Waterbox to complete the thru hull? It cannot be done with stock waterbox? I do plan on doing an intake grate. Should I do an impeller as well?

Yes, I have been there. I dont want to get into Injectors and ecm stuff. I do plan on doing a lot of hull mods. I do however need to replace my intercooler hoses..when I tore it apart this weekend they were real soft and gummy.

I planned on gutting the waterbox, but if the only way the thru hull will work is with the riva waterbox, then I will prob not do so. Thanks for everybodys replies! I do plan on the wedge as well.
