I was with my friend who has an 2006 gtxsc an me and my 06 rxp , I thought you could just swap the ecu's ( As i read in one of hulk's old threads ) so he could have the higher limiter, and get more speed......well when we hooked it up and put the key on and it said chk engine???? we didnt start it, it started to make a clicking sound when we unhooked the key can anyone tell me what i am doin wrong?? thankx in advance.

I'm not sure but you may have to reprogram the DESS with the ski but I don't know. I think I remember them saying they did not have too.

Yep, what Yellow Jacket said. Dan at JetDraft installed mine, matched the ECU with the TB, reset the lanyard with BUDS and it worked just fine. Runs 67.1 with some other mods.

most TB are set at "0" value, so I don`t think the TB is the issue.
are you sure that the ECU connectors were locked in place?
and that they were "year" compatible when swapping ECU`s?
also it is not that simple, I don`t really know what changes were made to the 2006 GTX SC models, but the RXT/RXP ecu`s are mapped for the 58 psi fuel pressure reg and slightly more boost. You don`t want to run lean.
you also want to make sure you have the right water reducer disc in the pump if you going to keep using the RXT/RXP ecu...
I did not have a check engine light come on, I did need the KS harness for the 2004, that`s why I aske if your donor ski has the same ecu as the experiment ski...
I think there is more to it with the newer models...
    someone will say for sure...PR...

i used a 04 rxp ecu & TB on a 03 gtxsc i believe the 05 ecu will work but u will need the knock sensor up date as for the 06 i'm not sure as 4 my ski i've put, i think all the parts a rxt would have( + riva stage I & a rr s/c fan) except 4 the forge pistions they'll b next yr with a few more goodies
