    Already regret buying the FZR

So I have had the ski less than 24hrs and have not even taken it off the trailer yet. So after work today I started to look it over as the dealer took forever yesterday and was already 6pm by the time the ski was hooked to my truck with a 3+ hour drive back home ahead of me so it was way late when I got home and dark.

And what do I find when I start to look it over. the frigging paint on the bottom is already scratched off. The ski has yet to even see water and the paint is already chipped off. What the hell does yamaha coat these things with play dough? I now really wish I had gotten a ski with a normal gelcoat and not this crap.

Now the dealer I purchased it from is a 7 hour round trip drive, so I will need to see what a local dealer can do. At this point if I drive it back to the original dealer I will be returning it.

I have 2 hours on my svho fzr and already have blisters on the bottom... I took it back to the dealer and going to have them repaint it for me... good thing for a 5 year warranty but I hope I don't have to get it repainted every season

Seems like a lot of paint problems with the new Yamahas.

Its clear that by the marks on both sides in the same place that it was prior to the ski being put on the trailer. But having to have the ski repainted before it has even been used is pissing me off, and if its that easy to damage the bottom then I can see this being a constant issue.

I have had numerous boats and never had to paint the bottom thanks to them being gelcoat and they held up to some hard use. Gelcoat is rather easy to maintain but this paint looks to be more of a hassle than the supposed weight loss gains of the hulls nano cell material.

What's up with the paint on the 2014's? Have had a 2009, 2012, and now a 2013 and have had nothing like this. Have a 2014 on order. Is this something that's already been addressed? Really don't want to be dealing with it if it isn't.

I doubt anything has been done, my ski just came out of a crate delivered a couple weeks ago.
