Help with determining Ultra purchase - 2009 Ultra 260X *known* issues?

    **** Update ****
    Walked away from 2009 Ultra 260x and purchased a 2012 Ultra 300x

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2009 Ultra 260X. It only has 9 hrs on it. I can do the deal at $6500.

I had a 2006 RXT SC 215HP. Unfortunately, my model and year had to have the SC rebuilt because of ceramic washers AND the exhaust valves needed to be replaced due to sodium being in the metal. I got fed up after the SC rebuild and sold it last year.

My questions / concerns with getting back to high performance, are there *known* issues with the 2009 Ultra 260X?

If so - what are they?

    Thanks in advance!

Hold the phone fpampan! Have I got a deal for you! 2009 Ultra 260X already broken in, single owner, excellent condition (except for a few superficial dings and scrapes). Salt water tested! New catch can! $5995 FOB or FAS. This is the same model that Wotman used to almost win B to B last year!

Oh shoot. Forget it. I see you bought a 300 already. Congrats I guess. But, have you considered a second ski for friends and family? Or, even for yourself on rough water days? This sweet little 260 cuts through the chop like knife through butter. Not quite as skittish as 300. Just a thought.

Not to worry Wotman, I was just kidding around! Not about you almost winning B to B, about wanting to sell my 260. I got a rebuilt motor with less than 5 hrs, new sc, ic and catch can. Im looking forward to a great new season!

I purchased a 2013 300X leftover for 11.4. I also purchased the 4 yr warranty and cover . Total deal was for 12.1. Took it out this past weekend and all I can say is WOW! Amazing.
