    Is this part necessary?

    Ok here's the thing, on the 1996 Raider (which was an 1100 til it was upgraded to the 1200.) The following part is cracked and not covering properly...on the original parts finder it's under Jet Unit 2, part #1. Where the screws hold it in place one screw is missing and the plastic housing is actually cracked and I assume this item should be replaced (the cover part) and a new screw purchased as well?

    Looks like the cover for the coupler. It's a good thing to have because it stops water from being flung into your carbs by the driveshaft.

    And it also keeps your hoses and the wires going to the starter free and out of the way of the couplers, atleast on a GP it does. The wires and hoses lay across the top of the cover.

    are these the same as a gp1200? I have an extra one for free just cover shipping $9 at most for priority mail.

    Hmm

    Not sure if it is the same or not, let me try to look it up and find out, Im also missing one of the screw/couplings for it though.

    I also have the screw with the metal spacer I will throw in I do not think I have any extra rubber pieces I will look and see though.

    How would I know if it was the same? What year is your ski?
